Le muguet est un « fleur muette » classique. Il est impossible de produire une véritable absolue de muguet à l’échelle commerciale. Son parfum délicat est détruit par les méthodes d’extraction. L’odeur de la fleur fraîche est un floral vert lumineux, frais et rosé de rosée, avec un caractère propre, légèrement savonneux, accompagné d’une subtile douceur indolée.
