La champaca est une fleur magnifique et complexe. C’est une note florale riche, crémeuse et capiteuse, souvent comparée au jasmin ou à l’ylang‑ylang, mais possédant un caractère très distinct. Elle présente des notes fruitées marquées d’abricot et de pêche, une nuance unique rappelant le thé, ainsi qu’un fond chaud et épicé (clou de girofle, bois de gaïac). Elle est moins indolique que le jasmin et plus fruitée‑épicée.
